Hi, I’m Sonya a Registered Nurse and Health and Wellness Coach.
My mission is to empower women to take the struggles of their perimenopausal journey and turn them into strengths. The perimenopause fairy visited me early but I had no clue what was happening until my period stopped at age 44. I’d never heard of the term despite being a nurse. I just thought I was a failure, emotional, stressed and undisciplined.
I now know that fluctuating hormone levels can contribute to a myriad of distressing physical and emotional symptoms that women experience – but do not see coming!
Moods swings, fatigue, anxiety, menstrual changes, sleep disturbances, food cravings, sexuality issues, weight gain… the list goes on.
Women are amazing. But in our fast-paced modern lifestyle, stress & fatigue are the norm. Society has conditioned us to prioritize the needs of others over our own. We feel guilty doing things to nurture ourselves.
But do you realize how much your daily habits impact your hormonal balance & therefore your experience of this transition? How we eat, move, sleep, rest, laugh & love impact our hormones. It matters!
